Transcription: How did they die? There are many theories. Was it a single cataclysm or a series of events? A widespread viral infection or a deteriorating climate and diminishing food supply? Could it have been something more spectacular? not of this earth. A fiery encounter with a meteor and the resulting devastation from a firestorm as soot and ash filled the atmosphere blotting out the sun and destroying most of life. Perhaps we shall never know But when the Cretaceous period ended, the dinosaurs and more than half of all species on Earth were gone.
